How the Funded PPA Model Works

Vector Delivers The Infrastructure.
You Purchase The Energy.

Under a qualifying funded PPA structure, Vector coordinates project development, project funding, infrastructure delivery, operation and maintenance through the approved project structure. The client purchases metered energy under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement rather than purchasing the energy infrastructure upfront.

01

Project Funding Structured

Vector coordinates funding subject to technical/commercial due diligence, approval and Financial Close.

02

Infrastructure Held in the Project Structure

Funding, ownership and asset-holding arrangements are defined in the approved project/PPA documentation.

03

Vector Operates & Maintains

Vector manages its contracted O&M obligations.

04

You Purchase Metered Energy

Client purchases metered energy in accordance with the site-specific PPA and metering arrangement.

Why Vector

Infrastructure Partner. Not A Solar Installer.

Vector assesses opportunities against technical, commercial, credit, property and project fundamentals before a funded structure is progressed. Each project is developed around site data, operating requirements and the commercial terms of the approved project documentation.

Commercial Discipline

Every project is assessed on technical, commercial, credit and site fundamentals before a funded project structure is progressed.

Long-Term Alignment

The infrastructure is operated and maintained through the agreed long-term project structure, aligning delivery with the client's contracted energy requirements.

Operational Reality

Systems are engineered around each site's actual load profile, utility interface, access requirements and continuity risks.

Integrated Platform

Solar PV, BESS, Hybrid UPS, grid interface, metering and monitoring are delivered as one managed platform.

Commercial Questions

How Vector's Model Actually Works.

Clear answers to the questions commercial, industrial, agricultural, hospitality, mining and property clients ask before engaging.

01What does Vector Energy Africa do?
Vector develops and structures integrated commercial energy infrastructure for qualifying sites, including Solar PV, BESS, Hybrid UPS, grid interface, energy management, metering and monitoring, with funding and asset-holding arrangements defined for each approved project.
02Is Vector a solar installer?
No. Solar PV may form part of the platform, but Vector is structured as a commercial energy-infrastructure partner. The model includes funding, ownership, operation, maintenance and long-term energy supply under qualifying PPA structures. See the full platform.
03How does a funded PPA work?
For a qualifying project, Vector structures a funded infrastructure solution and the client purchases metered energy under the agreed long-term Power Purchase Agreement rather than buying the equipment upfront. Funding and asset ownership remain subject to the approved project structure and documentation.
04Is every site eligible for a funded project?
No. Funded solutions are subject to technical, commercial, credit, property, regulatory and funding approval.
05Does the system guarantee uninterrupted power?
No. The platform is designed to improve resilience and operational energy control, but backup duration, islanding capability and continuity outcomes depend on the final system design, site conditions and contracted scope.
06What information is needed for an assessment?
Vector typically needs site information, electricity accounts, load information, operational requirements and property/access details to assess technical and commercial feasibility. Start an assessment.
07Does Vector serve residential homes?
No. Vector focuses on commercial-scale energy infrastructure for businesses, estates, agricultural operations, industrial sites, hospitality environments, mining-related operations and managed property portfolios.
08What is Jordan meant to show?
Jordan demonstrates Vector's model in operation: integrated commercial energy infrastructure using Solar PV, battery storage, Hybrid UPS and a long-term managed energy structure. Explore the Jordan project.
09How is the customer’s energy measured and billed?
Energy supplied under the site-specific approved PPA is measured using revenue-grade metering and billed in accordance with the agreed project documents. Metering points, tariffs, adjustments and reconciliation are defined for each contracted project.
